Meetings 2009/10 - Wed Oct 7 12:45:00 2009

Once again we are meeting twice a week, this time in obscure locations in the Social Studies department:
Wednesdays, 5pm in S0.03
Saturdays, 5pm in S2.81
It should be possible to locate both of these on the Interactive Campus Map.

[edit] The Interactive Campus Map is in fact wrong for at least the Wednesday meetings. They are in fact on the North edge of the same building.

Hope to see you there!

IRC - Sat Aug 22 02:44:10 2009

This isn't really news because we've had it for ages, but just to say that we do have an IRC channel in which you can arrange games, talk to others interested in Go, or just hang about.
If you are interested then join #go on irc.uwcs.co.uk .
If you don't know anything about IRC then see the Wikipedia article; I would suggest Pidgin as a good IRC client for new users (it will also take care of most other chat protocols if you want).

Meeting times this term - Mon Jan 5 16:16:26 2009

Welcome back! Hope you had an enjoyable holiday.

Our meetings this term will be on Wednesdays, in B2.12, at 5pm, and Saturdays, at 5pm in B2.07/8. The first meeting will be this Wednesday (I think that's the 7th).

I look forward to seeing you there!

Go Clan Merger - Tue Oct 14 01:45:49 2008

The UoW Go clan has merged with NTC (Ninja Tesuji Clan), in order to benefit both groups - it will make it easier for us to field a stronger team, and we can share our points, too.

Speak to David Buckley or Sam aitken if you want to take part in the KGS Clan system.

While I'm updating, this Saturday (18th Oct), we will be meeting in B2.12 instead of B2.07/8 to make room for the Anime and Manga Society's all-nighter. It's next door to B2.07/8.

Milton Keynes - Mon Oct 13 10:06:40 2008

We went to Milton Keynes tournament. Here's our results:

Sam Aitken [3 dan]: 2 wins; second place overall.
David Buckley [1 kyu]: 3 wins.
Ben Falconer [6 kyu]: 2 wins.

The next tournament we'll be attending is Leicester on the 22nd November. After that we'll be attending the London Open on 28-31 December. If you wish to attend either tournament, please speak to David Buckley.
