Lib1 is in the building with the dark roof in the centre of this map; B2.07/8 and B2.13/4 are in the Science Concourse on the opposite side of the bridge.

Travel

Travel directions are now on a seperate page. Coventry Train Station has in the past had some issues with works on the lines resulting in rail replacement busses over the weekend, but I went in and confirmed that there are no planned works on the lines on the 26^th. Obviously you should still check in case of unexpected problems before you leave, though.

The following is provisional, but should correct barring any delays.

09:00-10:00 - Registration
10:15-12:30 - Round 1
13:30-15:45 - Round 2
16:00-18:15 - Round 3
18:15-18:30 - Prize Giving

Rules

Games will be played with 60 minutes main time, and 30 moves in 5 minutes overtime. The tournament will use the McMahon pairing system, and AGA rules with komi set to 7.5 for even games. Handicaps (if required) will be at (McMahon difference - 1), and komi will be 0.5 for handicap games.

Standard - £5.00
Concessions (student/unwaged) - £3.00
Non-BGA members - £1.50 extra
Food - £6 extra

We would very much prefer payment on the day.

Food + Drink

There are a number of vending machines around the tournament rooms, which should be available for light food throughout the day. Unfortunately, most restarants on campus are closed on Saturdays (there is Bar Fusion, a noodle bar about 10 minutes walk away and Cafe Bar which serves sandwiches and baked potatoes slightly closer, but if your game runs late you may be rushed). We recommend that you bring a packed lunch.

We will arrange for three tea and coffee deliveries to cater for approximately two thirds of the adult attendance (ie. total drinks over the day will be twice expected adult attendance) to arrive before the start of each round. This will be free, but first come first served. Further drinks are available from vending machines.

We have arranged for food to be delivered from the university catering servies, costing around £6 each. If you want this, please indicate as such on the registration form or mail us if you're already registered. If you have special requirements (eg. vegetarian), please mail us. We need to know all food details, at the latest, by midday Wednesday 23^rd; anyone asking after this point will likely not get any. The following will be delivered, scaled by number of people:

Selection of rolls, flatbreads and sandwiches
Kettle Chips
Classic cakes
Fresh fruit selection
Tea or coffee

I'm afraid I am unsure exactly how much of anything comes per person, though the food is normally of a good quality at least.

Registration

Please ensure you have registered by the afternoon of 25^th April, and preferably by about a week before. A list of registered attendees is available sorted by reg date, name or grade.

Anyone registering on the 26th may be asked to pay a late fee of around £2.
