On the A45 west, turn left at the junction with Kenilworth Road (the right turning is marked City Centre, Earlsdon and Park and Ride). Continue down Kenilworth Road, and turn right at the lights onto Gibbet Hill Road.
Follow Gibbet Hill Road down, go over one roundabout (second exit) and then right at the next one (3rd exit) onto University Road.
The first turning on the right (Car Park 10) and third turning on the left (Car Park 4/Sports Centre) lead to car parks which should be free on weekends.
